ESCMID Research Grants 2023 Call Closing!

The call to apply for the ESCMID Research Grants 2023 is closing in 3 days on September 2nd at 17:00 CEST!
 

Don’t miss your chance to submit your research grant proposal for funding by ESCMID. This call focuses on projects dealing with Fungal/Viral/Parasitic Infections and Diseases and young researchers are encouraged to apply!

 

 

Call for funded observerships opens on 13 September 2022

We are happy to announce that a new call for 50 funded observerships will open from 13th September to 20th October 2022. First visits of observers to ECCs are envisioned to happen in March 2023. Contact your target ECC and collect your endorsement letter!

The deadline for registration has been extended until September 9th for our upcoming course in Montisola, Italy. The course focuses on the multidisciplinary aspects of migration and health, including global strategies, prevention, management and more.

ESC/BioMed Alliance survey on medical devices

The BioMed Alliance in collaboration with ESC have organized a survey on potential issues in availability of medical devices. You are invited and encouraged to participate and share your experiences on this pressing issue. The survey is available until 18 September.

WHO Task Force of AMR Survivors

The World Health Organization (WHO) is pleased to announce a call for expressions of interests from survivors and their caregivers to serve in the inaugural WHO Task Force of AMR Survivors. See the full call for expressions of interest online. Deadline to apply is 15 September 2022.

European Commission desgination of human-only antimicrobials

The European Commission has just recently published a comprehensive scientific review of all antimicrobials which was carried out in order to determine which classes or substance should be reserved for human use only, followed by the respective legal measures. You can read more below.

ESCMID COVID-19 guidelines: update on treatment

COVID-19 induced by SARS-CoV-2 continues to be a major threat for healthcare and fragile people. This update focuses on antivirals, monoclonal antibodies and other treatments proposed for patients with mild or moderate COVID-19 at risk for hospitalization or death.
