ESCMID Summer School – Registrations are open!

Registrations are now open for the 20th ESCMID Summer School, taking place from 2 – 9 July 2022 in Rome, Italy.

Don’t miss this annual ESCMID educational highlight – A comprehensive one-week course covering a broad range of CM and ID topics.

Places are limited, so be sure to register on the ESCMID Website. Attendance grants are also available for Young Scientist Members.

 

 

Keynote Fireplace

The ESCMID Fireplace is where keynote speakers meet with a small group to deeply discuss the topics covered in their Keynote presentations. You can view the Keynote Speakers that will have Fireplace sessions here. Pre-registration is required, and the deadline for registration is Friday 1 April.

New ESCMID course available for registration

The ESCMID Postgraduate Education Course ‘Vaccination of the Elderly in COVID-19 times’, taking place in Venice, Italy from 12-13 September 2022, is now open for registration. Find out more and register on the ESCMID onsite courses website. Grants are available!

IMMEM XIII – Abstract submission now open!

Abstract submission is now open for the 13th International Meeting on Microbial Epidemiological Markers (IMMEM XIII). Abstracts will be accepted in multiple categories, and you can find the categories and abstract guidelines on the conference website.

Submission is open until 14 April, 2022.

Open call to join EUCIC!

The European Committee on Infection Control (EUCIC) is currently seeking applications from qualified candidates for the position of: Research Manager / Training Programme Coordinator.

European Examination in Medical Microbiology, 23. May 2022, Paris (France)

The ESCMID Antimicrobial Stewardship Certificate

Stay tuned for the launch of the brand-new ESCMID Antimicrobial Stewardship Certificate 2-year training programme. Programme details will be updated here soon. Subscribe to the AMS Certificate mailing list to be the first to know when the programme is available and registration opens.

Community antibiotic prescriptions during COVID-19 era

This study investigated the association between the COVID-19 pandemic, antibiotic prescription ratios and determinants in the community. A decrease in antibiotic prescription ratios was likely related to a decrease in the incidence of certain diseases and to a change in prescription practices.
