Claim your CME certificates for ECCMID 2023

The 33rd European Congress of Clinical Microbiology & Infectious Diseases, Copenhagen, Denmark, has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) with 26 European CME credits (ECMEC®s). You can claim your CME credits via the global ECCMID certificate portal. Learn more on our website and complete the survey before 10 July 2023!

Open call for the position of Director for the ESCMID Subcommittee on Emerging Infections

We announce an open call for the position of Director for the ESCMID Subcommiteee on Emerging Infections (ESCMID-SEI). The Director of the ESCMID-SEI will, in collaboration with the emerging infections EC officer, be responsible for organising the new Subcommittee, including shaping its strategy. ESCMID-SEI will be in charge of coordinating and managing the ESCMID emerging infections related activities.

Apply for the ISID / ESCMID fellowship

Applications are now open for the International Society for Infectious Diseases (ISID) & ESCMID Fellowship! This fellowship seeks early-career investigators from low and lower-middle-income countries outside of the region to travel to Europe for multidisciplinary clinical and laboratory training. Deadline to apply is 16 June 2023.

ESCMID Yearbook 2022/2023

Our ESCMID Yearbook is now available online! We had some printed copies onsite at ECCMID 2023 but if you missed it there, you can see the whole book online on the ESCMID website. We hope you Enjoy!

Congratulations to the 2023 CAREer grant winners

The ESCMID CAREer Grant supports members who need aid to advance their scientific career during situations that prevent them from working full-time. In particular, it allows the recipients to reduce their workload by 20 % by contributing to the salary paid to a qualified support personnel. 2023 winners are Lucia Boix-Palop, Marjorie Batista, and Benjamin Visser (from left to right).
