GH EDCTP3 – Call for committee members

The Global Health EDCTP3 Joint Undertaking (GH EDCTP3 JU) aims to support clinical research to deliver solutions to reduce the burden of infectious diseases in sub-Saharan Africa. The Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda, as well as a call for committee members, is now online.

Gut microbiota and risk of colonization by MDR bacteria in critical care patients

This study investigated if the composition of the intestinal microbiota determines the risk of multi-drug resistant organism acquisition, infection and mortality in ICU patients. It was found that microbial diversity and abundance of certain bacteria could have prognostic value in ICU patients.
