ESCMID Guidelines course: registration closing!

Registration for the ESCMID course on developing guidelines is closing soon on 5 June 2022. This course taking place 15-17 September 2022 in Bologna, Italy is free of charge, but requires participants to send in a motivation letter for attendance.

Joint ESCMID/IDSA webinar on Monkeypox

We were pleased to host earlier today a late-breaking joint web symposium co-organised with IDSA covering the recent outbreak in Monkeypox.

ISID/ESCMID joint fellowships

ESGFOR-SEPAF Postmortem in pandemic times

The ESCMID Study Group of Forensic and Postmortem Microbiology with the SEPAF have organized a two-part webinar course for “Postmortem casuistic during pandemic times”. Part one will take place 8 June 2022 at 17:00-18:30 CEST. Registration is free and now open!

Registration is still open for the 21st LISSSD

The 21st LISSSD, will be held 7-10 June 2022 in Stockholm, Sweden for the first time jointly organised with ESCMID. The meeting offers a cutting-edge scientific program covering the latest advances related to acute streptococcal infections as well as post-streptococcal sequelae.

P. aeruginosa carriage in long-term care facility residents

This study explores prevalence, incidence, and factors associated with Pseudomonas aeruginosa intestinal carriage in residents of long-term care facilities, finding an unexpectedly high prevalence mainly associated with individual-level factors.
