ESCMID Awards are open

The ESCMID Awards season is now open. ESCMID is accepting applications for the ESCMID Excellence Award, Young Investigator Award and TAE Outstanding Trainee Award. Learn about the eligibility criteria for each and nominate yourself or your outstanding colleagues today! 

Deadline to apply is 12 October at 17:00 CET

Research Grants 2023

The call to apply for the ESCMID Research Grants 2023 is closing soon! This call focuses on projects dealing with Fungal/Viral/Parasitic Infections and Diseases. Young researchers in CM/ID are encouraged to apply. Deadline to submit is 2 September at 17:00 CEST.

Short-course antibiotic therapy for community-acquired pneumonia

The study explored if short-course antibiotic therapy is efficient and safe among patients hospitalised with community-acquired pneumonia. The authors observed similar outcomes between short-course and prolonged-course therapy, supporting the use of short-course therapy.
