ESCMID Research Grants 2023: Call open now

The call for individual ESCMID research grants for 2023 is now open until 13 September! 

Young outstanding investigators are encouraged to apply for support to their ground-breaking research. This year ESCMID research grants will be given to projects concerning Fungal/Viral/Parasitic Infections and Diseases.

 

 

Application for the ECDC/ESCMID Observership

This great 5-day program will get you acquainted with EU public health roles, responsibilities of ECDC, EU surveillance and epidemic intelligence systems. Application deadline is 30 June 2022, so don’t delay and miss this amazing opportunity!

Call for ESCMID Guidelines projects closing

The ESCMID Guidelines Subcommittee invites ESCMID members and ESCMID Study Groups to submit proposals for clinical practice guidelines projects. You can see the topics for projects, and the full call document on the ESCMID website. The call closes on 3 July!

ESCMID/ASM Abstracts and Grants

Abstract submission is now open for the ESCMID/ASM Conference on Drug Development coming up in Dublin, Ireland from 4‑7 October 2022.

ESCMID members with an accepted abstract are also eligible to receive an attendance grant to cover registration! The deadline to submit is 27 June. 

Structural equation modelling to infectious diseases concepts

Structural equation modelling can address causation questions of great interest to ID physicians and infection control practitioners that would elude other techniques. This review outlines the computational and conceptual differences between SEM methods versus the traditional tests of association.
