Summer School Success!

The 21st ESCMID Summer School took place 1-8 July 2023, and we had a fantastic time in Seville! We want to thank the 43 faculty and 82 participants who made each presentation and hands-on workshop engaging and informative. You can see some highlight pictures on the website now.

Don't worry if you missed this year, we are already getting ready for next year in Utrecht, Netherlands.

Last 24h to apply for Study Groups Research Grants

This funding is exclusively available for official ESCMID Study Group research projects in clinical microbiology and infectious diseases. ESCMID has over 30 Study Groups in different specialties within the fields of clinical microbiology and infectious diseases. The call to apply for the Study Group Research Grants will officially close tomorrow 19 July 2023, 17:00 CEST.



Calls for ESCMID Awards will open in one month

ESCMID Awards acknowledge excellence and outstanding innovation by researchers, clinicians and other persons contributing to the progress of the fields of clinical microbiology and infectious diseases. These awardees are invited to give lectures at ECCMID and are eligible to become ESCMID Fellows. Calls to apply will be open 15 August - 25 October 2023.



The new call for 50 funded observerships will open on 12 September 2023

The next call for 50 funded observerships will open on 12 September 2023. If you are an ESCMID Young Scientist or LMIC member fulfilling the criteria of YS membership, hurry up and contact your target ECC for the endorsement letter and prepare for an outstanding learning experience. Deadline for application is 18 October 2023.



Register for ESCMID Educational Courses

ESCMID strongly supports individuals active in the field of clinical microbiology and infectious diseases with their postgraduate and continuing medical education (CME). Postgraduate Courses and Workshops are two- to four-day events that focus on specific clinical or laboratory issues. These events are open for everyone interested in the fields of clinical microbiology or infectious diseases.
