ESCMID has over 30 Study Groups in different specialties within the fields of clinical microbiology and infectious diseases. ESCMID Awards acknowledge excellence and outstanding innovation by researchers, clinicians and other persons contributing to the progress of the fields of clinical microbiology and infectious diseases. These awardees are invited to give lectures at ECCMID and are eligible to become ESCMID Fellows. Calls to apply will be open 15 August - 25 October 2023.

ESCMID strongly supports individuals active in the field of clinical microbiology and infectious diseases with their postgraduate and continuing medical education (CME). Postgraduate Courses and Workshops are two- to four-day events that focus on specific clinical or laboratory issues. These events are open for everyone interested in the fields of clinical microbiology or infectious diseases.
