Post-ECCMID day on Antimicrobial Resistance

Join us tomorrow, May 18th, on the ECCMID online platform to participate in the Post-ECCMID day focusing on Antimicrobial Resistance. Be sure to check out the EUCAST hands-on workshop to see how they develop a basis for the breakpoints.

Registration open for AMS Certificate basic module

Registration for the 5-day course: "Principles of antimicrobial stewardship: the what and the how" part of the ESCMID AMS Certificate programme taking place 13-17 June, Nijmegen, Netherlands is open! Join for the first basic module of the greater programme to see what it’s all about.

ESCMID Study Group Research Funding

The call for Study Group Research Grants for 2022 is now open!

ESCMID Study Groups are invited to submit their research proposals in the fields of clinical microbiology and infectious diseases from today until 19 July 2022. You can find all information needed to apply on the ESCMID website!

The 2022 call for ESCMID Guidelines projects is open!

You can submit your proposal until 3 July 2022.  This call is open to ESCMID study groups and individual ESCMID members. Check the full text of the call for all the details on the application procedure. 

EuroBioFilms 2022

This conference organized by the ESCMID Study Group on Biofilms (ESGB) will feature a programme with a mix of basic and clinical biofilm related topics. Late-breaker abstract submission is now up until 31 May 2022. Learn more on their website!

Call for ESCMID/ECDC Observership opens June 2nd!

Don’t miss the opportunity to apply for this great five-day programme at the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) in Solna, Sweden. Application is open for Young Scientist ESCMID members and Full members 45 years old or younger.

Chronic aspirin use and survival following sepsis

This study evaluates whether chronic, pre-hospitalization aspirin usage, leads to improved outcomes in patients with sepsis as it has been previously thought. It was found that for patients without established cardiovascular disease, it may be associated with mortality reduction.
