The ECCMID 2022 Online Platform is now open!

We are pleased to announce the opening of the ECCMID 2022 Online Platform! If you have a valid ECCMID 2022 registration, you can now log in to the platform and start to explore the online side of ECCMID 2022!

 

 

New online courses available for registration

ESCMID is excited to announce that two new online education courses are available for registration! Don’t miss the courses ‘Personalised phage therapy: basic principles of monitoring and treatment’ in June and ‘Moving beyond single species outbreaks: the role of mobile genetic elements’ in July!

ECCMID Programme Book Grant – Applications closing

Applications are closing soon ECCMID Programme Book Grant, which supports attendees who otherwise cannot attend the congress.

Applications are still being accepted on the ECCMID Grants Website until this Friday, 11 February at 12:00 midday CET.

Simultaneous translation available for first pre-ECCMID day

For the upcoming Pre-ECCMID day on diagnostics, simultaneous translation will be trialled for the first time ever at ECCMID. Selected sessions will be simultaneously translated into Arabic, Mandarin, Spanish and Russian. Find out more on the ECCMID website.

ECCMID hybrid registration fees

Not sure whether to book a hybrid or online-only ticket to ECCMID 2022?

Because of the current situation, ESCMID is happy to announce that onsite and online tickets are available for the same price during regular fee registration (until 16 March 2022), so you can book without risk.

ECCMID Outreach Grants awarded

ESCMID is pleased to announce that 86 ECCMID outreach grants were awarded to support participants from LMICs in attending ECCMID 2022. With support from the Gates Foundation, we were able to award over four times as many grants as initially planned! Congrats to all!

ESCMID guidelines: SARS-CoV-2 testing in asymptomatic individuals

This guideline addresses the indications for testing of SARS-CoV-2 in asymptomatic individuals in healthcare facilities to prevent SARS-CoV-2 transmissions. The benefit of testing asymptomatic individuals to create a safe environment must be weighed against potential unintended consequences.
