ECCMID Keynote Fireplace

We are extending the deadline to register for the ECCMID 2022 Keynote Fireplace sessions. Register now to join with a small group to meet with ECCMID Keynote lecturers and explore in detail the topics covered in their presentations. The deadline for registration is Friday 15 April.

 

 

IMMEM XIII – Abstract submission closing soon!

Abstract submission is closing soon for the 13th International Meeting on Microbial Epidemiological Markers (IMMEM XIII). Abstracts will be accepted in multiple categories, and you can find the categories and abstract guidelines on the conference website.

Submission is open until 14 April, 2022.

New ESCMID course available for registration

The ESCMID Postgraduate Education Course ‘Antimicrobial susceptibility testing with EUCAST criteria and methods’, taking place in Tallinn, Estonia from 27 – 30 September 2022, is now open for registration. Find out more and register on the ESCMID onsite courses website. Grants are available!

ESCMID survey on textbook used in CM/ID/IC

This survey will help ESCMID propose appropriate tools for improving initial and continuous education in clinical microbiology (CM) and infectious diseases (ID). Please follow the link below and participate in this survey.

EMA recommendation for the influenza vaccine production

EMA has issued the recommendations for the influenza virus strains that vaccine manufacturers should include in vaccines for the prevention of seasonal influenza from autumn 2022.

EMA public consultation

The European Medicines Agency has published for public consultation a “Draft Qualification opinion for Prognostic Covariate Adjustment (PROCOVA™)”.

Solid organ transplant (SOT) recipients affected by COVID-19

The impact of COVID-19 in SOT recipients is an issue still on debate. This systematic review though found no increased risk in mortality in SOT recipients affected by COVID-19 compared to general population.
