New ESCMID Academy Working Group

A new ESCMID Academy working group has been formed under the ESCMID Education Subcommittee. We welcome the following members of the group, Özlem Kurt Azap, Seif Al-Abri, Maeve M Doyle, Lina Cavaco, Charalambos Dokos, Sarah Delliére, Onur Karatuna and Balint Gergely Szabo. The ESCMID Academy online platform serves as a learning tool for increasing accessibility and improving quality of practice in the field of clinical microbiology and infectious diseases.

We are launching a new YouTube series called Towards ECCMID 2024: Shaping the invited programme. You will find interviews on scientific highlights with our outstanding experts of the ECCMID Programme Committee (EPC), who gathered in Prague 19-20 June 2023 to prepare an outstanding invited programme for ECCMID 2024. New videos will be uploaded every weekend, stay tuned!

Exploit the summer and be creative for the ECCMID 2024 Art Gallery

The call for the ECCMID 2024 Art Gallery will be open 1-31 December 2023. What a better season than summer to get inspired and create art pieces to share with our community during ECCMID 2024. We are open to all submissions, but we also encourage a special topic: Artwork concerning One Health.

The course is a part of ESCMID Antimicrobial Stewardship Certification Programme, at the same time it is available to a limited number of other participants. The course provides information on general organizational aspects of antimicrobial stewardship, and practical training in antimicrobial stewardship in the management of common infections.
