ECCMID 2022 concluded last week in Lisbon, Portugal. We are happy to say that almost 13,000 attendees participated this year from over 150 countries! We hope that you enjoyed your time this year and we can’t wait to welcome you to Copenhagen, Denmark for ECCMID 2023 next year!

 

 

The ESCMID AMS Certificate – Registration open!

Registration is now open for the brand-new ESCMID Antimicrobial Stewardship Certificate 2-year training programme. You can check the full programme, and register now to secure your spot. Spaces are limited, don’t delay!

ECCMID 2022 CME/CPD Certificates

Information regarding CME/CPD certificate claiming and attendance reporting is available on the ECCMID website. It is necessary to complete the congress evaluation before 9 July 2022 to receive the CME certificate. Please note, you can only claim CME points once.

ECCMID 2022 on demand replay available

All of the scientific sessions from ECCMID 2022 are recorded and now available for on-demand viewing for the next 6 months. To access the on-demand content, visit the “Replay” section of the ECCMID 2022 online platform.

ESCMID survey on textbook used in CM/ID/IC

This survey will help ESCMID propose appropriate tools for improving initial and continuous education in clinical microbiology (CM) and infectious diseases (ID). Please follow the link below and participate in this survey.

ESCMID Guidelines project call for 2022 is open!

A new call for ESCMID guidelines projects for 2022 was discussed at ECCMID 2022. You can view the full call document and other details on the ESCMID website. The deadline for project submission is 3 July 2022.

ESCMID courses available for registration

ESCMID has several online education courses that are available for registration now! Review them all and register for the ones that pique your interest such as ‘COVID-19 and Liver disease’ and ‘Personalised phage therapy: basic principles of monitoring and treatment’ both taking place in June!

Fluconazole-resistant Candida parapsilosis genotypes

This article reports the presence of Candida parapsilosis isolates found in a Spanish hospital. It was concluded that fluconazole resistance in isolates was not due to prior azole use, but rather to the presence of fluconazole-resistant genotypes that have become endemic.
