ECCMID Explores is back

The ECCMID Explores Series is back on YouTube! We are releasing new videos every week on the ESCMID YouTube Channel covering a number of hot topics that will be addressed at ECCMID next year. You can see the first 5 videos up now and subscribe to get notified when new videos are released!

 

 

ESCMID Research Grants 2023

The call to apply for the ESCMID Research Grants 2023 is now open for projects dealing with Fungal/Viral/Parasitic Infections and Diseases. Young researchers in CM/ID are encouraged to apply and can find all details on the ESCMID website. Deadline to submit is 2 September 2022.

Last tickets for IMMEM XIII

The theme of the meeting is “Establishing whole genome sequencing at the core of epidemiological surveillance”. The program is finalized, and 16 CME points are available for attendees. Also be sure to register now for the evening event at the Roman Bath. Don’t miss out!

New call for Observership Centres

To facilitate international training and collaboration, the ESCMID AMS Certificate trainees are encouraged to visit Observership Centres in other countries as part of the programme, focusing on how AMS programmes work in practice. Details for application are on the ESCMID website.

Validation of bloodstream infection probability models

This study measured performance of bloodstream infection (BSI) probability models. In a large randomly selected external validation population, many published probability models had restricted applicability, limited discrimination and calibration, and extensive inter-model disagreement.
