This grant is aimed at supporting and promoting ECCMID participation from persons residing in Low- and Lower-middle income countries. The call to apply is now open! ESCMID and Ecraid's first educational collaboration

Last week saw Ecraid’s first educational collaboration with ESCMID take place in Utrecht. Over three days, the postgraduate workshop focused on how to improve clinical research in infectious diseases and clinical microbiology utilising better methods. Experts from Europe and beyond shared their knowledge and experience with 48 young investigators eager to conduct state-of-the-art clinical research in infectious diseases. EUCAST breakpoints and methods for C. diphtheriae and C. ulcerans

C. diphtheriae and C. ulcerans have received breakpoints and a EUCAST methodology for disk diffusion has been developed and validated. The recommendations will be part of the next update of the EUCAST breakpoint table, however, on request they have pre-published this section. You can read it now on the ESCMID or EUCAST websites.

ECCMID 2023 Selective Pressure Quiz Questions

Selective Pressure will be a competitive quiz show, where groups of 4 persons can apply for participation in this brand-new interactive session. Members of the ESCMID community are welcome to contribute quiz questions and all ECCMID participants are welcome to attend this session for an interactive educational and entertaining experience. You can submit your CM/ID questions to be included in this session now!
